‘No need of passes from 7am to 7 pm’, tweets CoP; Traffic jams return in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: With the city police easing the lockdown on the vehicle movement, all the city roads are now filled with vehicles. Traffic jam is reported from many places.

The city police has allowed movement of vehicles from 7 am to 7 pm.

“From tomorrow you don’t need a pass to move in Bangalore between 7am an 7pm. After 7pm and upto 7am the following morning, even if you have a pass you are not allowed to move except medical and essential service. Checkpoints will remain and your ID may be asked. Please be responsible,” tweeted Commissioner of Police Bhaskar Rao on Sunday evening.

According to the traffic police, even though the bus movement is yet to start, the autos and the two-wheelers are predominantly seen on the roads. Cabs are adding to the traffic jam.

With many companies resuming work from today, the hustle bustle of the electronic city is gradually returning.

But the police vigil and the lockdown restrictions continued in 44 wards from where the Covid 19 positive cases are reported.

Meanwhile, the biggest market in the city Kalasipalya market opened on Monday.

Hundreds of vendors and customers returned to the market.
