Vice President wishes the people on the eve of Easter

New Delhi : The Vice President of India, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has wished the nation on the eve of Easter. In a message, the Vice President said that the story of resurrection is a reminder that light will always triumph over darkness. He wished that India and the world will emerge victorious in fight against COVID-19.

Following is the full text of message –

“I convey my warm greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the auspicious occasion of Easter.

Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after his crucifixion.

It  is a story of resurrection of hope and faith, a reminder that light will always triumph over darkness, that virtue will always win over vice.

As the world strives to overcome the formidable challenge of the spread of Coronavirus, let the spirit of Easter infuse our lives with courage and optimism.

As we celebrate Easter at home with our loved ones, let us pray that our nation and the world will emerge victorious in this fight against COVID-19.

Let us also be grateful to all the people, especially the healthcare workers, who are working tirelessly to help us tide over the crisis.

May this Easter make us kinder and more empathetic, more resolute and resilient and bring peace and harmony in our lives.”
