Cheyyur: Gurusthaniya Shishya Poojitha Amrita Jnana Thapaswini was given a grand welcome at Cheyyur Santhigiri Ashram by the devotees and the local citizens, which will be etched in history. The crowd welcomed the Guru with great enthusiasm desiring Guru’s grace and light on their soil. Since yesterday, the clear skies of Cheyyur was filled with rain clouds. The devotees said that it was always so. The rain was always there marking the auspiciousness of every spiritual activity that took place at the Cheyyur branch ashram. Guru’s devotees were waiting for a long time in prayer for that auspicious day to welcome the Guru at Cheyyur. When the Guru’s convoy reached Cheyyur to fulfill their desire, the rain cleared and there was a clear sky. The procession from Cheyyur Junction to the ashram was something unlike anything this place had ever seen.
Gurusthaniya Shishya Poojitha’s pilgrimage to Chennai was the realization of the devotees’ constant prayers. Yesterday (Friday, January 5, 2024) from the moment Shishya Poojitha arrived in Chennai, happiness has been surging like a sea within every Guru bhakta. People started arriving at the Ashram in the early morning to receive the Guru. When the Guru’s convoy reached Cheyyur at 1 pm, they eagerly waited to meet their Guru with tears in their eyes and receive blessings.
The local people joined the devotees of the Guru to welcome Shishya Poojitha and her entourage opening a new chapter of devotion at Cheyyur ashram. People’s representatives, local people, and guru bhaktas jointly welcomed Gurusthaniya with bouquets and the chanting of guru mantras at Cheyyur Junction.
The road leading up to the branch ashram, which is a short distance from the junction, was decorated with white flags. The traditional Nadaswara music added devotional fervor to the welcome. The roadsides were crowded with locals. After the welcome at Cheyyur, the Theerthayathra group reached the ashram in a procession. As the Guru’s motorcade passed the ashram gate, the atmosphere became awe-inspiring. What followed were rituals filled with indescribable spiritual bliss.
