Visakhapatnam Under Lockdown

Visakhapatnam : According to a latest  bulletin issued by the State Nodal Officer, COVID-19 tests were conducted on 892 people in the last 24 hours and 17 of them have tested positive. Of the total 365 positive cases, 10 persons have been discharged after recovery, six of them succumbed to the virus, and 349 are undergoing treatment

There are only 20 Positive identified among 769 samples and out of 20 Cases 4 were discharged in good health. There are 16 patients who are in stable condition at a quarantine hospital.

However, among 13 districts of Andhra Pradesh, Visakhapatnam is one zone which is announced as the Red Zone.Due to Lockdown hundreds of marriages were postponed in Visakhapatnam District.Sanitization tunnel launched by Railway Department as prototype.

The Chest Hospital at Visakhapatnam is equipped with 10 new negative pressure rooms.

In view of 21-day Lock down, JCI VIZAG SMART, a voluntary organization is distributing food to needy around 600 Food Packets a day by following all safety measures and the food reaches to poor and farmers who come to sell the vegetables in the city during the Lockdown period.  Also they conducted Blood Donation Camp as there is a crisis in blood bank too.
