Covid-19 cases continue to rise in Bengaluru as multiple contacts of P 419 are now testing positive. Till Saturday’s evening bulletin, 28 contacts of P 419 have tested positive. Officials said the report for several other contacts of this patient are yet to come.
Sources also said that the P 419 case is turning out to be a challenge for Bengaluru officials just like the case of P 52 for Nanjangud.
In both cases, the health officials are not able to trace the origin of the infection. Similarly, a number of primary and secondary contacts of both the Nanjangud and Hongasandra are testing positive.
Meanwhile, Revenue Minister R Ashoka said that stern measures are being taken in the Hongasandra containment zone.
He said that in other containment zones, a few stores were permitted to open but in Hongasandra, it will be a complete seal down with health officials conducting door-to-door screening to check if anyone is experiencing Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
Meanwhile, three contacts of another SARI case (P 465) have tested positive on Saturday.
