Sanyasa Diksha Anniversary Satsang Fourth Day

“Manju”

Pothencode: Swami Gurusavid Jnana Tapaswi delivered the keynote address online at the Satsangam held on October 9 at the Santhigiri Ashram on the occasion of the 37th Sanyasa Diksha anniversary on October 15.
Swami said that, the 37th anniversary of the initiation of a Sanyasi, begins with the theme of Sanyasa through the path of the Guru. And the old stories says that the monk in spirituality, whom we do not know, should live by eating grass and water.but our Guru said,it is not useful for human beings.Vasishta, Dwapar and Vyasa have made some contribution to this country.None of them lived in caves or forests. It is the scene where the Guru asks if they were not the ones who worked down in the society. One thing to think about is how the society came to a conclusion that sanyasis should stay in the forests and caves, or who ordered them to live on greenery and water, which is clearly a reality that has been seen in the Guruvanis. Isn’t it the clergy who are well aware that if there is a situation in which the self-conscious monks go down and work among the ignorant people, the supremacy they have built up will be lost? The Guru often narrates an experience of Adi Shankara. Shortly after accepting sannyasa, Adi Shankara came home to fulfill his promise to his mother. His mother died shortly afterwards. History records the plight of the time and the fact that all the people who were there at that time left. The reason for this is that once one has accepted sannyasa,he should not come home later.
It was because of this violation that the body of the Mahatma’s mother left down without even being cremated. Eventually, Adi Shankara had to take his own mother’s physical body alone and burn it. When we see this act of cruelty shown even to a sacrificial saint, we have to think of a society that thinks that ordinary people who have no self-knowledge behind it should never have knowledge. It is to be understood that a great goal was to make the levels of asceticism inaccessible to them.
The sufferings, pains and hardships that our Guru faced while establishing the Ashram were often from those who stood by him. It can be said that it is a scene where both the subtle and the gross are opposed to a Guru.
Abhivandhya Shishyapoojitha decided to stand with Guru at a young age. Many who had often quarreled with the Guru and tried to separate Shishyapoojitha from the Guru. Guru said that Shishyapoojitha would stay here and if anyone objected to this they could go. This is what Shishyapoojitha said to the sanyasis on one occasion. Swami concluded by saying ,It became a great move when our Guru opened up to the masses the asceticism that he had tried to confine to the caves and forests. The obstacles that lay ahead were drowned in that great flood. The power of that great flood came from the Guru. Be a good saint in a good Grihasthashrami. Therefore, the Guru has opened for us a large field of activity in which the Grihasthashrami and the Sanyasi come together.
