Sanyasa Diksha Anniversary; Fifth Day of Satsang

“Manju”

Pothencode; Swami Snehathma Jnana Tapaswi delivered the keynote address online at the Satsangam held on October 9 at the Santhigiri Ashram on the occasion of the 37th Sanyasa Diksha anniversary on October 15. Swami says, until the time of the Guru, it was not clear to anyone in this world what the karma and asceticism of Santhigiri was. All we have heard so far about asceticism is generally renouncing everything and going to some forest or hill and leading a life of penance. But in the Guru’s concept, not about giving up everything, but about one who pervades everything. Monasticism is a sacred dawn, like the awakening song of the universe. Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore and APJ Abdul Kalam were all saints who did not wear saffron. It does not matter the scripture, the scholarship, the caste or the religion. When the Guru first gave sannyasa initiation in our ashram, no caste, religion, dress or language was the norm. All those close to the Guru were ordinary people. The Guru told them to stay in touch with the ashram and pray and work. Many brought their children to the Ashram to work. Coming from a variety of backgrounds, they had no spiritual tastes. When they started praying and doing karma, the Guru told them what karma is and karma is the total amount of thought, word and deed. Ashram is a place full of light of the highest positive energy in the universe. Ashram karma means that light is transmitted to us through our thoughts, words and deeds so that when the energy of light enters our life the dirt in our life goes away and our soul gets purified . We do not go looking for everything, but for that we have to understand what is the karma of the Guru. What would it be like if one’s whole thoughts went negative as he washes the rice and burns it with copper and wood? On the other hand, if the deed is done by offering it to the Guru and praying that good will come to all who consume this, then this deed will become penance and will have its goodness. If you do this in your home, then that action is tapas. Once a housewife came to the Guru and told him that her husband was angry with her and worried that he would not come to the ashram. The Guru said, “From tomorrow, when you prepare food and serve it to your husband, you should pray fervently and concentrate for a moment. If you do this for 21 days, it will change. If you do it continuously for three months, six months and twelve months, then his behavior will change. Later he became a believer in the ashram .What we need to understand is that all the thoughts, prayers and concepts in that action become the light of the Guru through food and water and enter into that man. Karma is a constant exercise to nourish the soul with health by giving mind and action. Many of the people who worked in the early days of this training college of God were given Sanyasa when they came to work unselfishly.
In fact, the Guru does not say Grihasthan, but Grihasthasrami, who sees the house as Ashram. Even if you live in a house, the house should have the same order, prayer, cleanliness and cleanliness as the ashram. There will be right and wrong in any deed and it must be submitted at the feet of the Guru. It must be done every day. The Guru will take away its evils and give us back the good. Swami concluded by saying that we have to copy Guru’s idea into our lives and put into practice peace and tranquility in our lives. Then our deeds become desirable to our loved ones. The deeds in Santhigiri are done in a homely environment. If we teach the karma of the Guru to the world, every house will be saved and the world will be saved. For that, we have to copy it in our daily life.Sanyasi must remain a servant in humility and become a king in deeds. It is the duty of the saint to pass it on to the world. Everyone should pray diligently. The family should pray together . Those who pray twice can overcome all problems. We have to train our children to this because we do not get such a guru and disciple anymore . There should be a saint in every house. The Guru has said that the ‘gothra’ will be saved only if you give a Dharmaputra or a Dharmaputri from your house to this movement, no matter what wealth you give. This satsang is a stepping stone to that.
