Sri Karunakara Guru Founded A Unique Path in Spirituality – Swami Satchidananda

Aluva: Swami Satchidananda, president of Sree Narayana Dharma Sangham said that Navajyoti Sri Karunakara Guru’s is a unique path in spirituality. The Swami was speaking to the Santhigiri Avadhuta Yatra Sangham at the Aluva Advaita Ashram.

‘ In 1977 and 1982, I was able to meet the Guru and have long discussions on spiritual matters. Guru had deep knowledge in spirituality. Guru’s thoughts, words and deeds have foresight”, the Swami said.

Sri Narayana Guru started the ashram at Varkala Sivagiri in 1904 after the dedication at Aruvipuram. On May 1, 1912, after consecration of Sharada Devi at Varkala, it was decided to establish an ashram at Aluva. Thus was the birth of Advaita Ashram. The Guru also started a school for students to learn Sanskrit irrespective of caste and creed. Swamy also said that many historic conferences have been held at this place.

Swami Satchidananda shared with the pilgrims the joy on the visit of Avadhuta Sangham, and the love that Sankarananda Swami had for Sri Karunakara Guru.
