Bharatiya Guru Paramparas, the Light of Sanatana Dharma – Union Minister V. Muralidharan

Pothencode: Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan said that Guru Paramparas are the light of Sanatana Dharma and Sri Karunakara Guru’s position is at its forefront. He was speaking inaugurating the Cultural Conference held on the 25th Navoli Jyotir Dinam at Santhigiri Ashram.

It was the light shed by the gurus from time to time that led the nation forward. Due to the decadence in society and foreign invasions, our tradition fell into the abyss of darkness at one point. Unfortunately, the attempt to reclaim our identity did not occur until and after independence, so we lost our tradition of spiritual wisdom. The Union Minister said Sri Karunakara Guru fully embraced the Sanatana Dharma tradition. He gave equal importance to the spiritual upliftment of women and made their redemption possible.

J. Chinchurani, Minister of Dairy Development, inaugurated the charity schemes in a function presided over by DK Murali MLA. Each guru parampara is the opening of the path to the ultimate good of humanity. Along with spirituality, philanthropy is also emphasized in Santhigiri. The Minister said that Santhigiri is a school that teaches people to see each other as one, regardless of caste, religion, and color.

Ashram General Secretary Swami Gururatnam Jnana Thapasvi, Malankara Orthodox Church Thiruvananthapuram Head Dr. Gabriel Margregorius Metropolitan, Palayam Imam Dr. V.P. Shuhaib Maulavi and Chembazhanti Sree Narayana Gurukulam Head Swami Abhayananda graced the occasion. Former Governor of Mizoram Kummanam Rajasekaran released the books ‘Guru’s Life Through Gurukanthi’ written by Swami Janasnehajan and ‘Stutigeetham’ by Dr. TS Somanathan.

Anita Kumari, R. Zahirat Beevi, M. Anil Kumar, Shofi K., Deepa Anil, K. Kirandas, T. Manikandan Nair, Murali Sridhar, Anil Cherthala, Rajan CS, Dr. Shraddha Sugathan, Kumari Mukta Suresh and Janani Karunashree spoke in the meeting.

The Ashram took out a lamp procession in the evening. A special prayer was held from 9 to 9.30 p.m., the time of Guru’s Adi Sankalpa, followed by Pushpa Samarpanam by Sannyasa Sangha, Brahmachari Sangha and appointed devotees. This year’s Navoli Jyothir Dinam celebrations will conclude today (May 7) with the Divya Pooja Samarpanam.
