No decision on school reopening in September: Karnataka Education Minister

Bengaluru: Primary and secondary education minister S Suresh Kumar made it clear that the state government has not taken any decision on reopening schools from September.

His reaction came amid reports that the state government may start the new academic year from September 1. “Our first priority will be fighting COVID 19. Once it is contained, other decisions will be taken,” he said.

He also informed that MHRD just issued an advisory on schools restarting their educational services. “It is not compulsory,” he said

Meanwhile, the state-run Chandana channel will start telecasting lessons for the students from today. The students of high schools will be given first priority.
