Santhigiri Gives the Message of Unity – Governor

Pothencode: Honourable Governor of Kerala Sri Arif Mohammad Khan said that Santhigiri gives the message of unity beyond caste, class, and religion, and the Ashram’s activities are based on the concept of ‘service of man is the service of God.’ The Governor was speaking as the Chief Guest at the 97th Navpoojitham celebrations in Santhigiri Ashram. Religion is an experience; morality is the basis of religion, and universal brotherhood is the foundation of spirituality propounded by sages. Santhigiri embodies that heritage, the Governor said. Sri Karunakara Guru opened a new path of spiritual transformation to the world. The Governor also commented that Guru’s message for world peace and unity is spreading all over the world today through Gurusthaneeya Shishya Poojita Amritha Jnana Thapaswini.

The Governor reached the Ashram and offered flowers at the Lotus Parnashala. His speech started in Malayalam. The Governor made a point to wish everyone a Happy Onam. Ashram President Swami Chaitanya Jnana Thapaswi and Joint Director Swami Navananma Jnana Thapaswi felicitated the Governor. The Onakodi (Onam formal dress) of Vedic Academy was presented to the Governor by MG University Vice Chancellor Dr. Babu Sebastian and General Secretary of ‘ACTS’, the Association of Christian organizations, George Sebastian.
