Sishyapoojitha Laid the Foundation Stone for the Prarthana Mandiram in Cheyyur.

CHENNAI: Gurusthaniya Shishya Poojita Amrita Jnana Tapaswini has performed the stone laying ceremony for the Prayer Hall of Santhigiri Ashram in Cheyyur today at 10.30 in the morning, adding an unforgettable page in spiritual history. The ceremony was held in the presence of hundreds of dedicated guru’s devotees, people’s representatives and locals, in an atmosphere filled with chanting and prayers.

After opening the Dhyana Maddom to the devotees, Shishya Poojita accepted the “godanam’ (offering of cow) by Sudhindran and his family. Then she went to the place specially prepared for stone laying and performed prayer and sankalpam. Swami Chaitanya Jnana Tapasvi, Swami Gururatnam Jnana Tapasvi, Swami Navakripa Jnana Tapasvi, Swami Vishvabodha Jnana Tapasvi, Swami Manuchit Jnana Tapasvi and others performed the rituals as per Guru’s instructions. Santhigiri Parampara witnessed another great act today in an atmosphere filled with fusion music. The stone-laying is also the fulfillment of the long-time prayers and wishes of the guru bhaktas of Chennai.

The Gurusthaniya will convey the visionary instructions of the Guru at various stages of the construction. Santhigiri Ashram is a place where anyone can enter regardless of caste and religion. The prayer houses in different parts of the country are designed to suit the culture of that region.
