Despite testing negative- Patient Died

Malappuram: A Malappuram native, who was under observation after recovering from COVID-19, died here on Saturday. SatuVeerankutty (85) passed away on Saturday early morning at 4 am while he was awaiting the final COVID-19 test result.The last test result came out negative. Doctors claim that the death was caused by other ailments.

The patient suffered a heart attack three days back. Despite testing negative for coronavirus a week back.Veerankutty was kept under observation in Manjeri Medical College due to kidney related ailments.. VeeranKutty was diagnosed with COVID-19 on April 2. But the source of his disease is yet to be found out. Earlier it was assumed that he contracted the virus from his son, who had returned after Umrah.But later it was revealed that the son was not infected with the disease.
