CM to address media on alternate days from Monday

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s press conference will resume from Monday onwards.The CM will address the media on alternate days from Monday. The Chief Minister’s office came up with an explanation as the decision to stop the regular press conference

was misinterpreted widely.
In the backdrop of COVID-19 outbreak, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan used to conduct press meet after coronavirus assessment meeting every day. But the Chief Minister informed the other day that no press meet would be held since then.
Following this, allegations arose that the CM stopped the press meet fearing questions regarding the Sprinklr controversy and other issues. With this, the CM’s office gave an explanation that the number of COVID cases in the state has dropped so that daily assessment meetings need not be conducted. From Monday onwards, assessment meetings will be conducted on alternate days and after this meeting, Pinarayi Vijayan will address the media, the CM’s office informed.
