Bev Q gets Google’s consent, Keralite’s can be happy…

The tipplers in Kerala can finally relax now. The much-awaited virtual queue management app for liquor sale in Kerala finally received Google’s nod paving way for the reopening of beverages outlets across the state and the resumption of alcohol sale.

Bev Q, the Beverages Corporation (BEVCO)’s app to buy liquor will soon be listed in Google’s Play Store and App Store. Users will be able to make online bookings and get virtual tokens in the app using which they can purchase liquor from the prescribed outlet or bars .The app was developed by Faircode,a Kochi-based company. Faircode was reportedly chosen on the instructions of the IT Secretary and CEO of Startup Mission.

Tipplers in Kerala have been making fervent searches on the Google PlayStore since Bevco dropped its name.This indicates a high number of searches and downloads for the app once it is up which could to technical snags and crashing.
