Santhigiri observes Sanyasa Diksha Anniversary

Pothencode: The Sanyasa Diksha Anniversary was celebrated at Santhigiri on Vijayadashami day. Gurudharma Prakash Sabha members offered flowers and garlands at 5.30 am. Then many children have been initiated into the world of learning.
Sanyasa Diksha is celebrated in Santhigiri to commemorate the first initiation of disciples who got deeksha from Ashram founder Guru Navajyothi Sri Karunakara Guru Today marks the 37th anniversary of the ordination.  9-days satsang was organized through  online to mark the anniversary of the Sanyasa Diksha.  Ashram General Secretary Swami Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi delivered the key address at the Closing Ceremony of 14th Oct.2021. Swami opined that parents should be able to show their children the way towards God. Swami said that the Sanyasa Sangham in Santhigiri is an organization that works for the good and betterment of the world.
Gurudharma Prakash Sabha members, composed of all the Sanyasis of Santhigiri will light a lamp around the Ashram at 6 pm. On the day of Vijayadashami in 1984, 31 of Sri Karunakaraguru’s disciples were first ordained as Sanyasis. Since this morning, many devotees had come to the ashram to join the anniversary celebrations by adhering to Covid protocol.
