Guru is the Love that Embraces the Universe; Dr. T.S. Somanathan

Pothencode: ‘Guru is the love that embraces the universe, and each one of us is a grain of sand that has reached that shore of love. According to the flow of water, the grain of sand drifts in various parts of the infinite ocean and finally lands somewhere on the shore. Our life is like that. We have wandered everywhere in this search,’ said Dr. T.S. Somanathan, Patron, Ashram Advisory Committee Arts & Culture Department. He was speaking in the evening Satsang of October 2, organised in connection with the 38th Sannyasa Deeksha Varshikam in Santhigiri Ashram.

He shared his experiences during the first Sannyasa Diksha in 1984.
‘In 1973, there was was a revelation that the wish of Brahman was fulfilled. That wish was related to Guru’s Avastha Poortheekaranam or Spiritual Fulfilment. There is no room for doubt before Guru; all doubts and dilemmas get subsumed there. Those who undertake this spiritual assignment should strive to march ahead without wavering.’ Dr. T. S. Somanathan said that it is a way of eternal unwavering devotion, which is lived by the mutual efforts of householders, sannyasis and brahmacharis.
