No extension of lockdown beyond Tuesday, assures Home Minister Bommai

Bengaluru: Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai has said that there will be no extension of lockdown in the state.

The ongoing lockdown will end on Tuesday and the Home Minister assured that the same will not be extended beyond Tuesday.

The Home Minister said that this lockdown was planned in such a way that people did not face any inconvenience.

“All essential commodities were made available till 12 noon. The state has done all possible attempts to contain the spread of the pandemic, which includes the lockdown too. However, there are no plans of extending the lockdown beyond Tuesday,” he said.

He informed at least 40 spots in the city are sanitized on a daily basis with the help of the civil defence, NDRF and fire personnel.

It may be recalled that even Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has said that lockdown cannot be the solution to tackle COVID-19 situation.
