Pothencode: ‘Sanyasis should become honest and loving by adopting Guru’s life and way of action. When we study the sacrifices and sufferings endured by Guru throughout the course of his life, we will understand that the difficulties we face on our way are nothing. The energy it gives us is enormous.’ This was stated by Swami Navakripa Jnana Thapaswi while sharing his experience with Guru in the meeting held on Monday (3-10-2022) at the Spiritual Zone Conference Hall as part of the 38th Sanyasa Deeksha Varshikam celebrations at Santhigiri Ashram.

‘Our life should be a message to others. We should shape our lives in such a way that those who see us can take us as a model. Selfish interests should be avoided as much as possible, that is the virtue of spiritual life. Strive for it as much as you can. All of us have personal flaws in our lives and Guru has accommodated us knowing that. The actions we perform are to remove those flaws. The result of that karma will be reflected in our family. We become Guru’s children when our impurities and defects are washed away, and we become purified gems’, the Swami said. He said that ‘the life of sanyasa becomes meaningful when our sanyasa is for the happiness, unity and peace of the entire society.’

Swami Navakripa Jnana Thapaswi received the vow of sanyasa on 30th January 2002, after Navajyoti Sri Karunakara Guru’s Adisankalpam. He is In-charge of Planning & Development, Agriculture and Operations Departments at Santhigiri Ashram.
