Nava Oli Jyothir Dinam celebration with devotional fervor

Pothencode (Thiruvananthapuram): Former Governor of Mizoram Kummanam Rajasekharan said that Navajyoti Sri Karunakara Guru is always with us as our hope, aspiration, and inspiration in our troubled daily life. He was speaking while inaugurating the Meeting of delegates held as part of the 24th Nava Oli Jyothir Dinam celebrations at Santhigiri Ashram. Coming to an ashram is not like going to a house or visiting a place. One should come to Santhigiri not for visiting but for darshan – spiritual realization. Guru is the light that always shines in the heart. Gurus are immortal. He said that great souls cannot be confined within the limits of space and time. Truth has no limits and even if the mind goes after many things, what should guide us is the tenderness of heart.

Member of CPI Control Commission Member Panniyan Ravindran was the special guest on the occasion. He said that India is a land that shed spiritual light on the world before the birth of other religions and the vision of Sri Karunakara Guru is a great contribution to the world.

Thiruvananthapuram Malankara Sabha Major Archdiocese Assistant Bishop Dr. Mathews Mar Polycorpus delivered the keynote speech at the ceremony. He said that the Guru, the possessor of a great life, lived with a compassionate heart. He healed several people and stood as a light to the world.

Ashram Vice President Swami Nirmohatma Jnana Thapasvi presided over the function and former MLA MA Wahid, Hokan Fukushi Foundation President of Japan Hirako Koike and Swami Janananma Jnana Thapasvi were present at the function.

Patrons of the Ashram Advisory Committee A. Jayaprakash, Murali Sridhar, D. M. Kishore, D. Suresh Babu and Pradeep Kumar D, T.K. Unnikrishna Prasad, Dr. K.N. Shyama Prasad, Dr. S.S. Unni, Dr. K.N. Vishwambharan, Dr. T.S. Somanathan, and Dr. K.R.S. Nair elaborated on the theme in the Meeting. Janardhana Menon, Dr. B. Raj Kumar, Adv. S. Jayachandran, P.P. Babu, R. Satheesan, M.D. Sasikumar, K. Ramanan, Anil Cherthala, Santosh Kumar. K.K, Radhamma. A, C.P. Mohanan, Adv. B. Unnikrishnan, Adv. V. Devadath, Prasannakumari. P, Raju Kavileri, Sashimohan.T, A. Abubakar, Muralidharan. K.A., Anil TP, and Santhimahima Assistant Convener Shinu.S spoke on the occasion.

The prayer ceremonies started with worship at five o’clock in the morning. Gurudharma Prakasa Sabha members and Brahmacharis offered special flower offerings in the Parnashala and the prayer hall. Special worship followed by flag hoisting and flower offering took place at 6 o’clock. Many devotees from different parts of the country are reaching the Ashram since morning. There was Guru darshan, various dedications, and the arrangement for free food (Annadanam) for thousands of devotees from noon.
