Sannyasa Deeksha Anniversary Celebrations at Santhigiri Ashram

Pothencode (Thiruvananthapuram): Twenty-two renunciates will take Sannyasa at Santhigiri Ashram tomorrow on the occasion of the 39th Sannyasa Deeksha Varshikam on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his greetings to the 22 renunciates. In a message, the Prime Minister said that Sannyasa Deeksha at Santhigiri is an unwavering commitment to women’s empowerment. This momentous event is a testament to the lofty ideals of Navajyothi Sri Karunakara Guru.

Dr. Rosie Nandi, Shalini Pruthi, Guru Chandrika. V., Vandita Siddharthan, Vandita Babu, Dr. Neetu. PC, Vatsala. K.V, Jayapriya.P.V, Limsha. K, Sukrita. A, Prasanna. Rajini will be given initiation in a function to be held at Sahakarana Mandiram at 9 o’clock in the morning. With this, the strength of sannyasa sangha of the Ashram will be 126 from the earlier 104 sannyasins.

The rituals and prayers will begin with the morning worship at 6:00 a.m. 7. There will be a special flower offering by the Sannyasa Sangha and the designated renunciates at the Lotus Parnashala. The initiation ceremony will take place after the 9 o’clock worship. Union Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan will inaugurate the felicitation ceremony at 12.30 p.m. Ashram President Swami Chaitanya Jnana Thapaswi will preside over the function and Minister Antony Raju will formally announce the Sannyasa Deeksha ceremony. The Food and Civil Supplies Minister G.R. Anil will be the Chief Guest. Ashram General Secretary Swami Gururathnam Jnana Thapaswi will announce the new names of those initiated.

The Ashram Vice President, Swami Nirmohathma Jnana Thapaswi, Palayam Imam Dr.V.P. Shuhaib Moulavi, Believers Church Auxiliary Bishop Mathews More Sylvanus Episcoppa, Swami Brahmananda Saraswati (Sriramapadashram), Swami Abhayananda (Chempazhanti Gurukulam), Swami Gurusavidh Jnana Thapaswi, and others will be present in the function.
