Santhigiri Is a good example of Guru-Shishya Tradition – Minister G. R. Anil

Pothencode (Thiruvananthapuram): Minister of Food and Civil Supplies G.R. Anil said that Amrita Jnana Tapaswini, the Gurusthaniya Shishyapoojita of Santhigiri is the best example of the order of guru-shishya tradition. The Minister was inaugurating the Poojita Peeddom Samarpanam Proclamation Meeting at Santhigiri Ashram. Sri Karunakara Guru did not work as a spokesman for any religion or community. The Guru’s effort was to strengthen the love and brotherhood of man by highlighting the good aspects of everything in society. The Minister said that in the present age when sectarianism is created in the name of religion and politics, Guru’s words and visions are a defense against sectarianism.

Registration-Museum Department Minister Kadannapalli Ramachandran presided over the function. The Minister said that Santhigiri’s message of peace should be utilized for the peace of the present and that the ashram has an indescribable environment where one can enjoy peace of mind like in a holy tirtha.
