The National Testing Agency (NTA) under Ministry of Education, Govt. of India will be conducting All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2021 for admission to Class VI and Class IX for the academic year 2021-22. Sainik School, Kazhakootam is the only Sainik School in Kerala.

All candidates are to apply through online only at https://aissee.nta.ac.in between 20th October to 19th November 2020. Schemes/duration/medium/syllabus of examination, list of Sainik Schools and their tentative intake, reservation of seats, exam, cities, passing requirements, important dates etc. relating to the exam are contained in the Information Bulletin hosted on www.nta.ac.in. Candidates should be born between 01.04.2009 and 31.03.2011 (both days inclusive) for Class VI and should be born between 01.04.2006 and 31.03.2008 (both days inclusive) for Class IX. Also for Class IX, the candidate should have passed Class VIII exam from a recognized school at the time of admission. Admission for Girls is open in Class VI only. General/Defence Candidates is Rs. 550/- and SC/ST candidates is Rs 400/-. The exam fee is also required to be paid online through payment gateway, using debit/credit cards or internet banking or PAYTM Wallet. No Application Form can be obtained directly from School or through post as applying/registration of candidate is only through online.

The date of Entrance Exam is on 10 Jan 2021 (Sunday). The mode of exam is Pen paper (OMR Sheets based) Multiple Choice Questions. For Class VI, the exam will be from 10 AM to 12.30 PM for duration of 150 minutes and for Class IX, the exam will be from 10 AM to 1 PM for duration of 180 minutes. The Entrance Exam will be a conducted at Sainik School Kazhakkoottam Thiruvananthapuram, Govt. HSS Karappuzha Kottayam, St. Teresa’s Convent Girls HSS Ernakulam, Govt.VHSS for Girls Nadakkavu Kozhikode and Kannadi Higher Secondary School Palakkad.

The admissions will be made strictly in accordance with the merit in the Entrance Examination, Interview and Medical fitness of candidates. The school has not deputed any individual/organisation/institution for admission related coaching/training.
