Spirituality Can Bring Peace to the World – Dr. B.Jayaprakash.

“Manju”

Pothencode: Famous spiritual thinker and researcher Dr. B. Jayaprakash said that only spirituality can bring peace to the world and relief from unrest; the society will be transformed when spiritual leaders reach out to people. He was speaking in the class held for the members of Sannyasa Sangha in the Spiritual Zone Conference Hall at 3 PM today (30-09-2022) on the occasion of Sannyasa Deeksha Varshikam of Santhigiri Ashram.

Holistic health means health of body and mind. When it is balanced, one becomes healthy. Meditation, knowledge, and new ideas are necessary for the nourishment of the soul just as food, exercise and discipline are necessary for the survival of the body. We should always be able to look inward to our mind. The full form of Manas (mind) means, ‘multiple intelligence in normal direction’. We must be able to look within remaining in the body and must know our inner strength. It must be cultivated, and for that the soul needs concentration and calmness. Meditation brings concentration while tranquillity provides blissfulness to the mind.

When we channel knowledge into a calm and focused mind, we give energy to our soul or consciousness to grow. Spiritual growth requires knowledge and entertainment. Extensive reading is required to increase knowledge. When we read repeatedly, it gets absorbed into the mind. In such a way, the pictures that are fed in the inner world transform into a yajna in us to make them a reality. The Vedic mantras recited by the spiritual masters get absorbed in the mind when we hear them again and again. In this way you can organize your mind and purify your life.

Veda means knowledge and pain means ignorance. There is no pain when knowledge is attained. Knowledge is the medicine for the pain of the mind, just as the medicine is for the pain of the body. Knowledge shapes a person. A particle of change is sowed within him, and life becomes meaningful when that change becomes beneficial for the society and the world. The mahatmas are those who are born with discernment. There are those who gain knowledge by learning and those who gain knowledge through training. Spirituality cultivates the innate aptitudes (Vasana) of man. Rituals and ceremonies in different forms are designed to cultivate human minds. Every Acharya could see the flaws in the Vasana of humans and tried in their own ways to transform them suitable to the times.

The time of birth of a person is the moment when the embryo first begins to move in the womb of a mother. At every stage of fetal development, the mother’s emotions and feelings affect the child. Therefore, both traditional and modern science dictates systematic rites and rituals to keep the subconscious mind of the mother auspicious always. The subconscious mind captures the thoughts and feelings of the mother. The mind of the child living inside her womb is inextricably linked with the mind of the mother, so every harm that occurs to the mother will be reflected in the child.

A person’s life can be seen as six steps: The first step is Jigyasa (curiosity), and the second step is Guru Samagamam (getting a Guru). The third step is Sadhana (austerities). The fourth step is Swadhyaya (study of scriptures). The fifth step is Anubhav (experience), and the sixth is Anubhuti (the experience of bliss). He who crosses these six steps, and overcomes the difficulties of all these stages, sees God. Bhakti is the basis for this. Through Bhakti one will undergo mental transformation. That transformation must be realized by oneself.

Swami Snehatma Jnana Thapasvi along with other sannyasis honoured Dr. Jayaprakash with a gold medal and a memento on behalf of the Sannyasa Sangha. Kavita Jayaprakash, Ashram Senior General Manager T.K. Unnikrishna Prasad and others were present in the meeting. Senior General Manager D. Pradeep Kumar delivered a vote of thanks.
