Governor of West Bengal to Inaugurate Santhigiri Nava Oli Jyothir Dinam Celebrations

Pothencode: Santhigiri Ashram is celebrating Navajyoti Sri Karunakara Guru’s Nava Oli Jyothir Dinam on Saturday, May 6, which is the 24th anniversary of the reunification of Guru-embodiment with the Absolute Truth. This year’s Nava Oli celebrations will begin tomorrow (Friday, May 5). West Bengal Governor Dr. C.V. Ananda Bose will inaugurate the celebrations at 8 am. Ashram President Swami Chaitanya Jnana Thapaswi, General Secretary Swami Gururatnam Jnana Thapaswi, Manikkal Grama Panchayat President Kuthirakulam Jayan, Welfare and Development Standing Committee Chairperson R. Saheerat Beevi and Sindooram Charities Chairman Sabir Tirumala will be present in the function.

The celebrations include Pushpa Samarpanam at the Lotus Parnashala on May 6. There will be special worship commencing from 5 am followed by flag hoisting and Pushpa Samarpanam at 6 am. There will be a meeting of delegates attended by representatives of various cultural organizations of the Ashram. Guru Darshan and various offerings to Guru by devotees will take place after the meeting.

Food and Civil Supplies Minister G.R. Anil will inaugurate Nava Oli Jyothir Dinam Conference to be held at 2.30 pm. Former Mizoram Governor Kummanam Rajasekharan will be the Chief Guest. State Cooperative Union Chairman Koliyacode Krishnan Nair will preside over the function. Ashram President Swami Chaitanya Jnana Thapasvi, General Secretary Swami Gururatnam Jnana Thapasvi, Palayam Imam Dr. V.P. Suhaib Maulavi, Malankara Sabha Thiruvananthapuram Archdiocese Assistant Bishop Dr. Mathews Mar Polly Karpus, Shivagiri Math Guru Dharma Pracharana Sabha Secretary Swami Asanganandagiri will also be present. Former Chief Secretary of Kerala R. Ramachandran Nair will be honored at the function.

There will be a Deepa Pradakshinam around the Ashram complex at 6 pm in which thousands of devotees will participate. Various cultural programs have been organized from 9 pm onwards. The celebrations will conclude with the Divya Pooja Samarpanam on May 7.
