Prana Pratishta of Navajyothi Sri Karunakara Guru Held at Delhi Santhigiri Ashram

New Delhi: The consecration of Navajyothi Sri Karunakara Guru’s Prana Prathishta took place this morning at the prayer hall of Santigiri Ashram Silver Jubilee Mandiram in Saket, New Delhi. Her Holiness Shishyapoojitha Amritha Jnana Thapaswini, the Ashram Gurusthaniya opened the Prayer Hall at nine in the morning amidst the chanting of Guru Mantra by thousands of devotees. Her Holiness unveiled the portrait of Guru in the Dhyana Mandapa for people to offer worship and do meditation. Shishyapoojitha exhorted the devotees that Gurumanthra is the universal mantra of this age, and Guru is to be followed by the people of the world irrespective of caste, and creed differences. The rituals were conducted in an atmosphere filled with devotion. The General Secretary of Santhigiri Ashram Swami Gururathnam Jnana Thapaswi, Ashram President Swami Chaithanya Jnana Thapaswi, and many other sannyasis and sannyasinis were present throughout the lamp-lighting ceremony.

Santhigiri Ashram and related institutions were established on land acquired in South Delhi in 2002 in which the Silver Jubilee Mandiram is built. The wish of former President K.R Narayanan, who was a close wellwisher of the Ashram, is also being fulfilled with the dedication of the Silver Jubilee Mandiram. The 12,000 square feet Silver Jubilee building will have a prayer hall on the ground floor, a skill development training center on the first floor, yoga wellness on the second floor, and an integrated AYUSH treatment center on the third floor. Santhigiri Ashram has completed 25 years of operations in the national capital.

Binoy Vishwam, MP inaugurated the dedication ceremony which was held after the Ashram spiritual rituals. Representatives from various social and political fields were present at the function.
