Mysuru Dasara: COVID warriors to inaugurate festival ion on October 17

Mysuru: This year Mysuru Dasara inauguration will be held on October 17 at 7.45 am at the hilltop Chamundeshwari temple in Mysuru.

This auspicious muhurtham was fixed at the Mysuru Dasara committee meeting held on Saturday in Mysuru.

This year, four COVID-19 warriors and one cured patient will inaugurate the event.

These five will be shortlisted by CM BS Yediyurappa soon.

The Dasara celebration will be held in a simple way this year.

No procession will be carried out. Out of 12 elephants, only five will participate in the Jumbo Savari.

All the major dasara events like cultural programmes canceled due to Covid 19.
