Union Minister Smriti Irani in Santhigiri today

Pothencode: The Union Women and Child Welfare Minister Smriti Irani will visit Santhigiri Ashram, Pothencode today – to participate in the Navapoojitham celebrations. The minister, who will arrive at 2 pm, will be received by the Sanyasi Sangha, led by the General Secretary of Santhigiri Ashram, Swami Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi. After visiting the Prayer Hall in the Spiritual Zone, the Minister will participate in the floral offering & prayer ceremony at the Parnasala. The Minister will also inaugurate the Conference to be held in conjunction with Navapoojitham at 4 pm. State Devaswom Minister K. Radhakrishnan will preside over the event. MP M.P. Abdussamad Samadani will deliver the keynote address. VKL Group Chairman Dr. Varghese Kurian and Somaiya Vidyavihar University Vice Chancellor Dr. V. N. Radhakrishnan will be honoured at the function. MP Binoy Viswam, Swami Abhayananda (Sivagiri Mutt), C.P.I. National Control Commission member Pannyan Raveendran, MLA K. U. Jenish Kumar, MLA Roji M. John, MLA Saneesh Kumar Joseph, MLA Naushad, MLA Sajeev Joseph, BJP State Vice President M Radhakrishnan, MG University Vice Chancellor Dr. Sabu Thomas, Director of Sree Gokulam Medical College Dr. K. K. Manojan, BJP Thiruvananthapuram District President V. V. Rajesh, Sindhuram Charities Chairman Sabeer Thirumala and several other people from the social, cultural, art and spiritual fields will attend the function. After the meeting, the Union Minister will return to Delhi in the evening.
