Kakkodi (Kozhikode): Food and Civil Supplies Minister G.R. Anil said that Vishwajnana Mandiram is a place that removes the restlessness from the minds of people in busy life situations and spreads peace and tranquility. The Minister was speaking after inaugurating the Santhi Sangamam program held at the Vishwajnana Mandiram in Kozhikode.

Santhigiri Ashram which began from a thatched hut at Pothencode in Manickal Panchayat in Thiruvananthapuram district has become a world-renowned movement today. Navajyoti Sri Karunakara Guru is known to the world as Vishwa Guru. Guru’s sacrifice and work to unite mankind beyond religion will be remembered forever, the Minister said. The Guru taught his followers that all the people despite their religious affiliations are human beings and that human unity, harmony and love are important. This teaching is most relevant in this age, and the concept of Vishwajnana Mandiram is proof of that, the Minister added.

Santhigiri Ashram Kozhikode Area Head Swami Vandanarupan Jnana Thapasvi presided over the function and Swami Atmadharma Jnana Thapasvi, Kakkodi Grama Panchayat member Ajitha Theravath, Environmentalist Prof. T. Sobhindran, Ashram Advisory Committee Member Radhakrishnan.M, Santhigiri Ashram Kakkodi Branch Deputy Manager Chandran.M, Vishwa Samskarika Navothana Kendram Assistant General Convenor P.M. Chandran and Senior Convenor Muralichandran.C.B. spoke in the Meeting.
