Love and Compassion Is Greatest Spiritual Vision: Swami Asangananda Giri

Pothencode (Thiruvananthapuram): Swami Asangananda, Secretary, of Shivagiri Math said that the greatest spiritual concept in the world is the feeling of compassion for fellow beings. Compassion arises when the pain of others becomes one’s own pain and Navajyoti Sri Karunakara Guru is a symbol of such compassion. The Swami also said that there should be love for others within us, and in the present age when it is absent, the great vision of compassion, love, brotherhood, and equality is proclaimed on Nava Oli Jyothir Dinam. He was speaking at the Nava Oli Jyothir Dinam Meeting held at Santhigiri Ashram.

Navajyoti Sri Karunakara Guru worked for a long time as part of the Shivagiri Ashram in the early days. Later he became independent in his spiritual quest, gifted his ideas, and works of charity to the world, and attracted the world’s attention. The Swami said that indwelling the mind of all human beings is the same spiritual light. He also said that the core of this fellowship of the Ashram is the love and compassion imparted by the Guru.
