Santhigiri is the haven of World Peace – Dr. Bharti Pawar

Pothencode (Thiruvananthapuram): The Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Bharti Pawar stated that Santhigiri is the haven for World Peace and that it was a blessing to be here. Swami Gurusavidh Jnana Thapaswi and Swami Atmadharman Jnana Thapaswi received the Union Minister who visited the ashram this evening. After arriving at the prayer hall in the spiritual zone, she participated in the worship and offered flowers at the lotus Parnasala. After visiting the Sahakarana Mandram, she inquired about various aspects of the Ashram to the gurubhaktas (devotees) who were present. She also met and spent time talking with Eva, a Swedish native, and her daughter in the ashram. She was curious as to how she reacted the Ashram and became a Gurubhakth. As it was a full-moon day (Pournami), preparations were being made for the Deepapradakshina. The minister returned after meditating for a while inside the Prayer Hall. The minister said that the Ashram filled her with a great feeling and that she will return.

Apart from the spiritual zone, the minister also visited the healthcare zone. The Minister also enquired about the various treatment methodologies of Ayurveda and Siddha to the Santhigiri Siddha Medical College Principal Dr D. K. Soundararajan, Medical Officers Dr Pradeepan R., Dr Kiran Santhosh and Dr Lakshmi. The BJP District Treasurer M. Balamurali was also present during the visit.
