Karnataka decides to shut down the state’s biggest COVID 19 care center

Bengaluru: The BBMP has decided to shut down the state’s biggest COVID 19 care center started at the Bengaluru International Exhibition Center on Tumakuru road.

This COVID 19 care center has over 6,000 beds. This center will be totally shut down from September 15.

With no patients admission at the center due to the changed COVID 19 care rules, the government has decided to shut this center.

BBMP commissioner N Manjunath Prasad asked the authorities to dispatch the beds, and other equipment to the government-run institutions after sanitizing them

Even though initially it was decided to set up 10,000-bed capacity COVID 19 care center here, later it was decided to restrict to 6,000.

Now no patient is being sent here for an inpatient stay. Instead all the mild to moderate patients are preferring to undergo home isolation.
