Sree Karunakara Guru’s visions are for generations – Goa Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai

Pothencode (Thiruvananthapuram): Goa Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai said that the spiritual visions of Navajyothi Sree Karunakara Guru are not only for the present generation but also for future generations. He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the Public Conference held in conjunction with the Santhigiri Navapoojitham celebrations. Sree Karunakara Guru is a Spiritual Guru who embodied the total essence of India’s spirituality and showed a new way of life. He said that Guru’s thoughts were meant to mould society in a particular way, with its foundation deeply rooted in spirituality. Minister of Food and Civil Supplies G.R. Anil presided over the function and Lulu Group Chairman M. A. Yusuff Ali was the Chief Guest. Sree Karunakara Guru presented the world a novel ideology. Guru blessed the society with boundless kindness. The biggest ordeal that society faces today is that many people have seemingly lost that compassion. He said that Santhigiri Ashram’s contributions to this diverse world are unique and that he deeply cherishes and values the loving relationship he has with the General Secretary of the Ashram, Swami Gururethnam, who advocates for secularism, and the entire Sanyasi Sangha of Santhigiri. Sri Lanka Tourism Minister Harin Fernando M.P. delivered the keynote address on the occasion. Latin Archdiocese Archbishop Dr. Thomas J. Netto released the Navapoojitham Souvenir. The Goa Governor, Sri Lankan Minister and M.A. Yusuff Ali were honoured by the members of the Gurudharma Prakashasabha. Santhigiri Ashram President Swami Chaitanya Jnana Thapaswi, General Secretary Swami Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi and Organising Secretary Swami Gurumithran Jnana Thapaswi graced the occasion with their revered presence. B. Sandhya, Director General, Fire and Rescue Service, Home Guard & Civil Defence, who completed 35 years of meritorious service in the Kerala Police Force, was felicitated at the ceremony. BJP State Secretary J. R. Padmakumar, Sindhuram Charities Chairman Sabeer Thirumala, Pothencode Gram Panchayat President T. R. Anil, Dr. K. Omanakutty and Dr. M. Kamalalakshmi participated in the function. International Operations Section In-charge Swami Janananma Jnana Thapaswi delivered the welcome speech and the Healthcare Section Patron Dr. K. N. Syam Prasad delivered the vote of thanks. The Navapoojitham celebrations and prayer ceremonies started at 5 am with a special floral offering by the Sanyasi Sangha. At 6 o’clock there was the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by floral offering at the Parnasala, Guru Darsan at noon, various offerings (Samarpanam) and Annadanam.
