Gurumargam is the Way to Liberation : Swami Manuchith Jnana Thapaswi

 

Pothencode: ‘The path of Santhigiri is one of liberation. It is the beginning of our life’s journey for liberation. First we need to understand who is Guru,’ says Swami Manuchith Jnana Thapaswi. The path of Guru is for the liberation of all that is living and non-living in the world. Swami was speaking at the Ashram spiritual zone on Monday (3-10-2022 ) afternoon sharing his experience with Guru.

Swami shared an experience while he was in Kannur branch ashram. Kannur was the first place he went to work in branch ashrams.

‘Branch Ashram life was a very different one. Every day was an experience. After the morning worship at the Kannur Ashram, there will be a rush of new people. One day a family came. A father, mother and son. The son is an auto driver. Father is a laborer. With their income, they were unable to buy medicine for their mother’s illness. While going to many places in search of a remedy, they reached the ashram.

“The mother was crying. I told them to light a lamp at home in the morning and in the evening and pray. After three days, this mother’s son called me and said: ‘Swami, we are coming to the ashram’. When they reached I asked them to pray. But they can’t. When I gave her a packet of vibhuti, this mother fainted. She stared at me for a while. She had a terrible appearance then. I too was staring at her. After a while I asked a person to bring teertham. Everyone got scared. I asked her, ‘Who are you?’ “No,” she replied. I asked again and then she said, ‘I am Karingkuttichathan’.

‘In the childhood of this mother, she had an illness, and to get rid of this, her father went to the family temple and said, ‘if you save this child, I will give this child to you.’ The child’s life was saved. That’s why I want this child’s life.’ The possessed spirit said. I asked why did you hurt me? Do you know what will happen if Guru finds out?..

“She stared at me, I too fixed my gaze at her. Later she lay there and said sorry and started rolling on the ground. I told her to go to the prayer hall and pray. Then she said I will not go in front of Omkara. She said that Omkaram is Guru. We should know about the glory of our Teertha, Bhasma and Omkara. When they reached the Ashram and saw Shishya Poojitha once or twice, all their ailments were cured. Now they are believers. In this way many experiences are gained from the branch ashram life”.

Swami narrated his early experience. ‘Since I was studying, in 1999, I could not stay in the ashram regularly. When Guru left the body, I realized the cost of not being able to stand steady in those days. After that I decided to take a month off before any function and came to the ashram to do karma. After May 1999, I will be there for all the functions of the Ashram.
I was in the office of VSNK. I was in the same office for almost eight years. Shishya Poojitha entrusted me with many responsibilities during that time. No one was allowed to enter the main office of the Ashram those days. That day Shishya Poojitha told me to get the keys of all the cupboards there. She said to keep one set of keys in my hand. Later I started staying permanently in the Ashram.

“Chandradeeptan Swami and I went to tie banner with an iron ladder for a function. The ladder tripped and hit an electric line, causing a fireball. At that time Guru saved us even though we got electric shock, and nothing happened. Once,five of us travelled all over India along with Muktachithan Swami and a few other people to buy the material for Santhigiri Bhagininiketan. The day we left Jaipur for Agra a strike was going on there. The protestors were burning all vehicles on the way. At that time, we too reached there and around hundred people came near our vehicle. I quickly jumped out of the bus. A few people saw us and the group split into two and one group cleared the way for us to go. At this time we were called back from the ashram. Later this vehicle met with an accident. There have been many experiences in life where many kinds of evils and difficulties were solved with the grace of Guru.

“First we need to understand who our Guru is. Our Guru Margam is the way for mukthi for everything that is living and non-living in the world.
It is a very pleasant experience that many youngsters are getting initiated. This is a proud moment. Guru had said that in our parampara there will be a time when thousands of people will become Sannyasis together. Guru said 350 years, but it is expected to see such a situation within a hundred years”.

Swami also said that we should pray that whatever the Guru wills for this parampara, each of us should be able to do it to the best of our ability.
