Navajyoti Sri Karunakara Guru Gave Importance to Family Ties – Swami Gururatnam Jnana Thapasvi

Pothencode (Thiruvananthapuram): Ashram General Secretary Swami Gururatnam Jnana Thapasvi said that Navjyoti Sri Karunakara Guru gave utmost importance to family ties and spoke to the world in the language of the common man about India’s ancient family traditions, its firmness, morality, love, and tenderness. The Swami was speaking inaugurating the Public Meeting held in connection with the 24th Nava Oli Jyothir Dinam celebrations. Santhigiri is not just an Ashram of sanyasis, but thousands of householders (grihasthashramis) and their families are the foundation of this Guru Parampara. Experience is the spirituality of Santhigiri, he said.

Navajyoti Sri Karunakara Guru is a Maha Guru who was born into an ordinary family and lived an extraordinary life for 72 years, paving a unique path in spirituality and making unique spiritual contributions to the world, the Swami added. He also said that the Guru kindled humanitarianism by giving food to the hungry.

State Cooperative Union Chairman Koliyacode Krishnan Nair presided over the function. Ashram President Swami Chaitanya Jnana Thapasvi, Palayam Imam Dr. V.P. Suhaib Maulavi, Shivagiri Math Guru Dharma Pracharana Sabha Secretary Swami Asangananda Giri and Swami Snehatma Jnana Thapasvi graced the occasion. Former Chief Secretary of Kerala R. Ramachandran Nair, Dr. T. V. Srini, Dr. T. K. Sujan, and Dr. Anil Kumar. M.V. were honored at the function. The book ‘Gurupathangalile Kanyakumari’ written by Adv. S. Jayachandran was also released on the occasion.
