Thiruvananthapuram: A grand reception was held at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport Terminal, to mark the arrival of Santhigiri Ashram Gurusthaneeya (Guru Apparent) Her Holiness Shishyapoojitha Amritha Jnana Thapaswini, who had returned after a pilgrimage (theerthayathra) to New Delhi. Devotees of Guru from the district welcomed Shishyapoojitha with a thattam (silver plate) filled with lotus flowers. Hundreds of Athmabandhus (soul-kin) gathered together and chanted the Akhanda-Naamam in unison, which formed a serene, prayerful atmosphere. Santhigiri Ashram President Swami Chaithanya Jnana Thapaswi, Santhigiri Ashram General Secretary Swami Gururethnam Jnana Thapaswi and Santhigiri Ashram Finance Secretary Janani Nirmala Jnana Thapaswini accompanied Her Holiness.

A few days back, on the 16th of November, 2023, Gurusthaneeya embarked on a Theerthayathra (pilgrimage) to Delhi along with a group of around 100 pilgrims, including Swamis, Swaminis, Brahmacharis and Brahmacharinis. The pilgrimage was to perform Guru’s “Prana Pratishta Karma” (Consecration) at the Prayer Hall located in the Silver Jubilee Center, which was dedicated to the world as part of the completion of 25 years of the Ashram’s activities in the national capital. Her Holiness Shishyapoojitha is the “Word and Way” – the Spiritual Guide – of Santhigiri Ashram. Only on rare occasions, for the most important of pilgrimages does Her Holiness leave the Thiruvananthapuram Pothencode Ashram. It was after a gap of 14 years that the Gurusthaneeya visited the Ashram at Pushpavihar in Sakhet, New Delhi. With this year’s pilgrimage, another prayer center of Santhigiri has been dedicated in the country – a place of worship where anyone can enter regardless of caste, religion, creed or color.
